Stretching big legs -help:( !!! en>fr fr>en By Samosia Comments: 1, member since Fri Dec 30, 2011On Fri Dec 30, 2011 02:41 PM
Hello!
I dance over 11 years and I am quite professional. I go to competitions etc.
Recently I talked with my dance teacher and we analised my performance. One of the problems and difference between me and other dancers is my legs size, particularly thighs.
The muscles are strong but also some fat much more than in the rest of body.
Can you advise me some methods to make them smaller?
What are the proper exercises?
Is wearing a lot of thermkeeping clothes working?
Will be greateful for any help!
Best regards! 2 Replies to big legs -help:( !!! |

Stretching or wearing warm clothes will not change your muscles. You and your teacher should evaluate your technique to see if you are doing something different from your classmates. If you are the only one who has muscles developing differently is might mean you are using your quaricepts and hip flexors too much to lift your leg. Really concentrate on turning out your legs when they are extended and engaging your abdominals. |

Have you tried doing some pilates or yoga to help lean out your leg muscles?
I've always had crazy muscular legs from dancing, and recently I've started working out more (Jillian Michaels tapes, nothing fancy...), and even my husband has observed that my legs are slimming down. So varying your training might help some. |
