Question about knitting en>fr fr>en

I have successfully knitted the leg and front of foot pattern and have laid it out (with the help of sockerMum's pictures) and have had a look through the instructions for the heel. Ive hit a bit that I dont quite understand. There is a diagram with crosses on it that mean "do not knit or slip" The slip bit I can understand but how do i proceed if I cant knit the stitch? Can anyone explain?
Thanks

not totally sure, it could mean just pass the stitches on a holder to save for later?

Hello Silverbuttons,
If it is the heel chart from WoolExpress (where the knit kits came from), you just leave those stitches on the needle, turning the work to continue to the next row. This creates the short rows in the middle that create the heel "pouch". Then when you come back up the heel you start to include them again. Trust the pattern and keep going!

Good luck!

Yes, its the wool express one. Thanks for your help. I get it now. Im going to knit the other sock down to the same level so I can do the heels one after the other.
Thanks
