Teachers - Job Talk My class cancelled in less than 2 weeks en>fr fr>en By Ballet89 Comments: 16, member since Fri Sep 16, 2011On Tue Jan 03, 2012 12:31 PM
This is just me venting but why should I feel like I did something even though the SO gave me nothing but problems. I was never paid on time or at at all stilled showed up to teach my ballet and point class. I was nothing but professional when she did not back me and I tried to instill good technique to her students when there was a clear lack of any.i support you reopen and yet you tell me over Facebook that we need to discuss class status when just at your holiday show the girls tell me wow I never knew how much people liked ballet thank you.the SO says to me with a week off off classes two of the girls informed me they were dropping the class and my classes need to be making money. If people would communicate they would have known I would have done the class as a volunteer since I work full time. However I have to find this out over Facebook the day before I am suppose to have the class and just bought rosin and all of this came up from me asking if I would have a check for the last two months. I don't get it. 9 Replies to My class cancelled in less than 2 weeks |

One word... unprofessional.
You are better off without this. It may stink, in how it was done, but just let it go. It was not meant to be. |

Don't do the class as a volunteer. You are setting yourself up to be taken advantage of. |

You'd also be setting the rest of us up to be taken advantage of. |

I can look back, over my 57 years, and see every time something bad happened, that it needed to happen for something better or for me to learn.
Hugs. It will get better. |

I totally agree Dream_chaser. Looking back on the worst times in my career they have always ended up being the times where I learned the most and grew the most. I never regret any of them. |

Haha, not that I would not mind to have NEVER gone through them. Who the heck wants to suffer? But... it's life, and you have to just roll with the punches. I always look at famous "failures" (think Abraham Lincoln) and realize that I have it pretty, darned good, in comparison. |
