About Sukha Arts Center
Sukha Arts Center is creative space for children and adults to experience the arts of dance and yoga. Our dance program emphasizes a strong technical foundation while encouraging authentic and creative movement. Each class is taught by highly qualified teachers who have at least twenty years of dance experience and deep passion for the arts of dance and teaching. Unlike many other local dance studios, we don't encourage a competitive environment, but instead inspire our students to reach their potential through motivational dialogue and constructive criticism. Offering classes in BALLET, JAZZ, LYRICAL, HIP-HOP, CONTEMPORARY, MODERN, MUSICAL THEATRE, CREATIVE MOVEMENT, ACTING, TAP, STREET-FUNK, AND MORE!!! We are also home of "The Yoga Experiment", 100% donation classes. To us, yoga not only offers many health and therapeutic benefits, but is a vehicle for love, peace, and sukha! For these things, there is no price. This is why our yoga program is completely supported by your donations. We simply ask to donate what you can ($10 is recommended) to support our teachers and studio.

Sukha Arts Center will be offering a Dance on Film 8 Week Series!

Dance on Film is the creation of choreography that exists only in the medium of film/video. At its best, Dance on Film uses filming and editing techniques to create twists in the plotline, multiple layers of reality, and emotional/psychological depth. Students will explore how and why film is a significant venue for dance presentation, documentation, and choreographic experimentation. Series will include the critical examination of film and its impact on the development of dance, and investigates dance as a tool that shapes the content and form of film presentations that range from commercial television shows to Hollywood movies. Series will culminate with a full piece choreographed, filmed, and edited for each student to take away with them.
