tights falling down en>fr fr>en

I got a new pair of degas ballet tights for christmas which are lovely. I wore them in class last night and the only problem is that they keep falling down at the waist and sagging. What do you think is the best way to keep them in place? Wearing a belt maybe or sewing suspenders?

Ballet tights feature really high waistbands so they can be rolled over a belt 2 or 3 times, ending up at your natural waist.

Some guys use a web belt or even an old leather one, but if you want it to have some give, make one from a piece of 1.5" elastic you can buy at the sewing store. You can either sew it together to get the right fit, or just tie it in a knot.

To avoid sagging behind the knees and in the crotch, be sure to pull all looseness up when putting your tights on. Then roll the belt over it and you're good to go.

Suspenders can be created from the same type of elastic and sewn onto the tights. This works great for performances if a short costume tunic creates a belly button gap if the tights are worn low. However, it makes it impossible to tuck in your T-shirt for daily class unless you are OK with having the suspenders on top.

I use a belt with the waistbands of the tights rolled over.So no sagging. Suspenders may do if you wear a top and can hide them.
