We use duct tape on the bottom of their shoes. We put it a little bit onto the tapd, but mostly on the balls of the feet before the taps.

I have had kids take some paper towels and dry the taps up incase it gets slippery. And maybe sometimes custodians Can also buff the floor and mop up. And air dry. Then you would be ok.

Do you have grip rubber behind your taps? That helps. We have done the duct tape, too.

Hairspray works! I often (very cheeky) pour a very tinynamount of coke on the floor and lightly cover my taps:D (you can probably imagine that it sticks!) also gettihm on to the balls of your feet when dancing this increases the clarity in your taps and allows you to do lovely light and shade (heavy sounds and light sounds) B xx

Hairspray can make your taps more slippery depending on what type you use. If a stage is slippery, I always tell my students that they have to stay grounded. If you're not using your plie (which is just bad technique) you'll slide all over the place. Get grounded, use your plie, connect to your floor and relax your hips, through your knees into your feet for control as apposed to gripping. Also be very away of where your weight is. If you keeps your steps underneath yourself and stay stacked you'll be fine. Technique, technique, technique!!!!
