About House of the Roses Volunteer Dance Company House of the Roses Volunteer Dance Company is a group that works in 5 area shelters offering at-risk children and youth weekly dance classes. We utilize dance as a method to encourage positive behavior and cultivate creativity. Our program is designed to foster freedom of expression, healthy role-modeling, self-esteem and respect.
We are currently looking for volunteer teaching artists that would be available Mondays from 5:30-6:30pm to teach in the Bronx or Thursdays from 5:30-7:00pm in Brooklyn. No professional experience is necessary; however, a love for dancing and teaching is a must. We provide training for our teaching artists through a 2 hour monthly workshop.
This is volunteer, and requires a monthly 10-15 hour commitment. That commitment includes a weekly class at a shelter and a monthly teacher training session. 1 Replies to Audition/ Open Reherasal |

Good morning,
I just saw your posting and I was wondering if you could provide some futher information about the classes in the Bronx. Where is the shelter located and what style of dance is to be taught? How does one become involved? Please let me know as I am definitely interested in volunteering. Thanks,
