Inspirational to me too. You're not a fatty, but being a bigger girl myself, it definitely gives me hope I can dance en pointe one day I LOVE the last photo, by the way, it's beautiful.

If I had one critique for you - you seem to be holding some tension in your hands. Your arms are lovely and graceful, but your hands just have a little too much tension - try loosening them up a bit...

Ive been dancing for 20 years now and when I was younger (and thinner obviously) Ive had professional dance training for 4 years. I finally didnt make it because of my bad hips and knees.
Which has shown now because I have kneecaps that tend to get dislocated fast. Ive been put on pointe when I was 10 and also that has shown because ive had surgery on 1 toe so far for removing toenails and my toes are not the prettiest.
But i love dancing on pointe. I think its a bit tougher when you carry more weight around (last year I weighed 20kg's more and boy i did feel that when dancing on pointe) but its definitly not impossible.

Thanks for the advice on the hands! I have actually never noticed that before so now its something I can work on!

You're photos are gorgeous! You have wonderful feet and legs- the line from your knee to your ankle is seamless. And you're not a fatty, you're beautiful.

Actually they are lovely photo's and you have nothing to be ashamed about how you look in them. The black and white contrast photo of your pointed foot is very artistic in fact.

oh luth these are beautiful! my favorite photo is the one of you in the colorful pointe shoes. those are really neat and don't call yourself fat!!! you are beautiful and you have the nicest arches - your feet look great in the B morphs. thanks for posting the new pictures

Look so what if you are not born with the perfect body type, big deal, hardly anyone that dances today is, you carry yourself with good form, which is essencial to preventing injury, and have great arches better then many here or on youtube that happen to look less smaller, I run, for example I dont have the hight which would give me more stride length like the larger guys would have, nor do I have the lightweight like I used to in highschool to where I could accelerate to top speed like I used to, right now even though I was born small frame I am xxx lbs, and about xxx inches, but I dont let that stop me from trying, or in many cases putting more athletic people in their place as I beat them in a race. so dont let your differant size get in the way, I mean heck I would love to be able to stand on my toes and bring my leg over my head, but I can't I dont have the natral form or flexabillity, but on the other hand endurance wise I can run the distance of 3200 meters all out on the balls of my feet sprinting meaning my calfs take all the brunt of 2 times my bodyweight each time I take a step, now its not all at once but still after 2 800 meter runs your legs and joints get tired, and I can run ten miles without stopping, so I would love to see most of you try that out there.

My point is Luth dont let it get to you, and give it all you got with what you got given to you.

Luth, you're beautiful. Don't be so hard on yourself. Have you seen the dancers at PNB lately? They actually look like normal women! I hope the emaciated body type is changing but it won't if you don't let it.

My only critique: in your (gorgeous) cambre, be sure to keep your weight over your front foot and keep weight out of the back leg. You will appear more on your leg and the cambre will look even better!

thanks for all the sweet comments and critiques! I always aim to make my cambre better, even though my teacher hates low cambre's.
And looking at the photo again...your right! So theres a new thing to work on, with pointeshoes on its so easy to just lean on the shoes

Im not having the best of luck with pointeshoes, im an amateur dancer and have one 1,5hr pointeclass and 1 30min pointeclass a week and still I manage to destroy my shoes completely in only 8 weeks. Now im not rich so I cant afford to be buying new shoes every 8 weeks, the ones I have (and destroy so fast) are the most comfortable and greatest shoes i ever had BUT i also need to order them abroad (germany) which means theyre even MORE expensive. Im going to Kathy in Berlin in a couple of weeks and they have an amazing balletstore there (i actually got these shoes from them and though i visit her once or twice a year they actually remember me!) so im gonna get refitted and see what they can do to help.
Problem is..I have very very high arches, very strong feet, not so strong ankles, so its pretty difficult to find the right shoe. But lets hope they can help.
Im still struggling alot with my weight, trying to loose more but it doesnt seem to work, and feeling fat, also my health isnt what it should be so maybe after Ive been to the hospital next week that might solve some of the problems for me.

Again thanks for the sweet replies, ive always dreamt of becoming a balletteacher or dancer but yeah with my body its not possible, but knowing i dont do so bad for an amateur really makes me smile, so thanks again!

I forgot to mention that some of the people here like Briana and Berensdancer i REALLY admire for their dancing and hard work, so getting compliments from them makes me even wanna work harder ^^
