Anybody want to play costume designer, and design a costume for me?

There'll be two people wearing it - me, and a twelve year old girl. Obviously, there are two very different body types at play. :/

At any rate, it'll have to be something that we can dance in, and something cost effective (the mom is cooperative, but even still, I can't tell her we're spending a fortune on costumes...), so go on with that. She wears alot of pink, so if you want to incorporate pink, go for it.

Last year we just wore a t-shirt and capris, and I want something more costume-y for this year.

And I need a shirt, a pair of pants and a skirt. The costume design can extend to the pants or the skirt.

If this seems intriguing enough, I might make it a contest.

What's the music and the style?

We're clogging, to "Black horse and a cherry tree" by KT Tunstall and "Forget You" by Cee Lo Green. KT Tunstall was her pick, Cee Lo Green was mine. I thought I was being really brave picking it, her mom thought it was awesome.

I kind of had black and green in my head, but like I said, she wears alot of pink. I just feel like everything I'm coming up with in my head is so old school. :/

When do you need it by?

I hate to sound stupid, but what kind of look makes a clogging costume?

I'd put the kid in funky socks, a funky skirt (hot shorts underneath), and tank top with a shrug. For you, flip the color palate and do a tunic with ruffle detailing and leggings. Bling them out with sequins and stones.
