i used grand ole' flag off of a bob rizzo tap cd, it was instrumental and worked well. |

Less well known today but still upbeat patriotic songs. "Hail Columbia" and "Columbia, The Gem of the Ocean." "It's a Grand Old Flag." Also any of a number of Sousa Marches. See if you can find a DVD of the old George M. Cohan biopic (with Jimmy Cagney as Cohan) called "Yankee Doodle Dandy." As I remember it, there was
tap dancing throughout the whole thing, much of it to patriotic things (the movie was set in the World War I era.) Other possibilities include the various service songs (The Cassion Song
[Over Hill over dale, we will hit the dusty trail; "Anchors Aweigh" and "Off We Go Into the Wild Blue Yonder."

There's a cute version of "This Land is your Land" on the Broadway Kids cd that's a bit faster then the normal versions. |
