I find myself in a rut sometimes for creativity, with all the new games I come up with, the choreography, different lesson plan, and so on and so forth, sometimes I'm tapped. I like to keep my students happy and entertained, and that means not using the same old props for every class. I know I'm not alone here so I thought by having a thread for props and their uses could be helpful and fun!
List your favorite and most effective props and what you use them for. You never know, someone might post something that you've never thought of before.
I'll go first...

Dollys/Teddy Bears - Bourrees in a circle
Wands/Roses - Arabesques, Grand Battements, Ballet Runs
Mini Feather Dusters - Por de Bras
Stretchy Rubber Frisbees (I found them at the Dollar Store)- Grand Jetes, Sitting in Circle
Bean Bags - Posture
Scarves - Sways, Pro de Bras
Crowns w/o combs on the side - Posture, use them as you would bean bags for battements, plies, etc.

Great idea! Here are a few of mine...

Butterflies or flowers to use as their "special spots" when standing in lines. Also use line them up to learn to travel en diagonale.
Hula Hoops - long stride runs, step and jump to as a very early progression for assembles
Rings or small hair ties with ribbons attached to wear around one finger to help learn left from right and also helps to encourage using head and eyes
Trusty old scarves for free dance or sways
Feathers - for improvisation, they throw them up in the air, discuss how they move, then they dance "like a feather"
Piece of material to use as "magic carpet" they all sit on with legs crossed and "rock" side to side to 3/4 musiic
Bells instrument - I use as more of a concentration exercise, we sit in a circle, and first they must pass it around making as much noise with the bells as they can. Then, they must pass it around again trying not to make any noise at all. Works wonders getting them to concentrate and they love it!

That's all I can think of at the moment, looking forward to hearing others ideas!

Rubber Hop scotch puzzle pieces:1. Step over for a jazz square. 2. Lay 1 in front & 1 in back, stand in the middle and do a pivot turn over the front one and then over the back one.
3. hook 2 pieces together and hold vertical at the waist so it hangs down like a "wall", then do tendues without hitting the wall. Follow this with side together side point and "don't hit the wall" Teaches the students to point front without crossing the leg way over, so they learn where their center line is.
Tambourines: march and hit knees, later change to skips.

Fancy umbrellas to practice their classical walks (pretend that they are on a tightrope).

Flower petals to practice sensitive hands (Moving each finger individually and then at the end they get to toss up the flower petals).

Oh! Also wings for run and balance (if they do the exercise correctly they can do it again with wings).

At my studio we use musical instruments like maracas, tambourines, etc and have the kids pretend they are in a parade. It helps them with marching, counting the music and staying in a straight line and following instructions. They love it
