Fashion Help me put this look together for my interview tomorrow! en>fr fr>en By hooray4jj Comments: 1978, member since Sun Jun 20, 2004On Thu Jan 12, 2012 05:40 PM
I have a big interview tomorrow for an airline company for a flight attendant position. I just can't decide what color tights will look better with this outfit.
I am wearing this top, but in a dark kelly green
This black pencil skirt
These black shoes
(I wish I had closed toed pumps, but I don't, so I am just going with these, I could pop over to Target and see if they have some pumps that are reasonably priced if necessary).
and a black 1 button blazer.
I decided to wear colored tights so I don't have to worry about covering up my tattoo (if I got the job I would be wearing black tights, so there should be no issue).
I can't decide if I want to wear these ribbed black tights
or if I should try to break up all the black and wear opaque polyester charcoal gray tights sort of like these
also, my shirt should be tucked into the skirt, right?
Thanks! 13 Replies to Help me put this look together for my interview tomorrow! |

Definitely tuck in and definitely black.
The charcoal gray would not fit..it stands out too much I think. |

I agree. Tuck and black. Professional and polished. |

Tuck in the shirt, and do black tights. You've got the green in the top to give you a little extra color and break up the black, so you don't really need the tights to do that job too.
Will you be wearing a cardigan or blazer or something to cover your shoulders, though? I've always been told to dress a step up for the interview, and I've never seen a flight attendant in a sleeveless top. |

Sorry it was sort of hidden in there, but yes I will be wearing a blazer. Black tights it is! I usually wear pants to interviews so I was nervous about looking put together, thanks all! |

Those shoes are really cute! Where are they from? |

^Thanks! They are from Target actually. I normally hate round toed shoes, but decided to give them a try since they were so inexpensive.
While I am thinking about it, if they call me back for a second interview the next day I think I will just change out the top... I don't think there is a need to wear something completely different, right? |

^Mmm, I would probably go for pants if you end up going back the next day. If you can make the pants outfit look equally as dressed up as the skirt outfit, I would think it could help your cause a bit for them to see that you can look polished and professional in any outfit. Versatility, you know?
Unless you don't have dress pants at your disposal at the moment, in which case you should ignore my advice and just switch out the top. |

I have plain black dress pants but the black of those pants totally don't match the black of my blazer so I would be more inclined to wear these
For some reason I just felt like I should be wearing a skirt due to the job, but the pants I think look really nice with my sweater that I have like this one, but mine has a small cowl neck
We will see, I don't know if I have a good chance of getting a second interview anyway. Not to mention they probably won't remember what I wore. The first interview tomorrow is a group interview (as in the candidates are in a group of I assume around 5-10 with a panel of few interviewers). |

You can totally wear the same skirt. |
