Hello! I just had a real quick question for you guys :)

At the beginning of this year, I was really working hard on my flexibility, but I was pulling my muscles more than I should have been. I later realized that I need to get warmer than the rest of the people in my class before I can actually stretch. But anywho... The last time I pulled my muscle (inner thigh; I was working on my splits), which was a couple months ago, I lost all of my splits completely. I just wanted to know how you guys recover from pulled muscles? Please feel free to share any tips with me! Thanks so much :)

If it just recently happened, stay away from the heat. Ice it so the swelling will go down and take some Tylenol or Advil or whatever anti-inflammatory medication you prefer. Then continue to follow the RICE method for a while. After the first day of resting and icing, I try to make sure I keep the muscle warm, to keep it from getting hurt again. Always be careful next time you do any physical activity- warm up thoroughly before stretching.
