The outfits didn't start changing until the late 50s.
The one thing I really noticed is how short the pipers/drummers hose are!!! Crazy! But I do love this photo.

Actually, the outfits were made by local girls' schools, none of them were bought in Scotland. It took a while for them to get proper outfits (1970s) when they became an adult pipeband (they were juvenile only in the 1950s and 1960s because in this very catholic part of the Netherlands adult men absolutely could not wear skirts), and they bought the outfits of a Scottish band that had ceased to exist.
