I've seen colored dance shoes at competitions for choreography. I found the plain color ones but I cant find the metallic ones. Does anyone know where they sell them? I know they weren't homeade. Ive seen them online before but I cant remember where they were.

No. I've seen those. The ones I'm looking for are like a "frosted" metallic version. They had all different kinds of colors.

If all else fails, I know girls that have made theirs metallic looking by using spray paint.

I have heard through the grape vine that Avriel offers silver/gold ghillies. I could be entirely wrong so don't hold me to it.

you might want to call or email Billy Forsyth shoes and ask if they have the material in stock that you're looking for. My daughter wanted a pair of coloured shoes a few years back and Billy sent some leather swatches for her to choose from and the colours weren't the standard ones on his web site. She ended up getting a pair of shoes made in a dark purple which are really fun.
