As some of you may know I am a Registered Massage Therapist.

I currently work part time out of a Chiropractic office but am expanding my practice to include my own location as I do not have the option to go full time at my current spot. I'm still on the hunt for space (four viewings on Thursday!) but I do know I will be working a few hours a week out of office at a midwife clinic.

I tend to focus on sports injuries and chronic pain but I do offer 'relaxation' treatments as well.

So as to not give away my exact location let's pretend I will be working in Whoville.

Unfortunately Whoville Massage Therapy is already taken.

I want a name that will be optimal for search engine reasons and one that indicates I am a professional RMT who offers therapeutic massage.

I am horribly uncreative when it comes to this aspect of running a business. Ive seen you ladies and gents come up with some great ideas for people on the boards before - so if anyone has suggestions I would greatly appreciate hearing them!

Also I would prefer not to have my name in the title as I would hope to one day in the not-so-distant future hire an additional RMT.

You kneed a massage

All the good ones i can think of are already taken. I've been trying to think of something. Best name i encountered ws thereaputic kneads... business is closed and in a different area.

First that came to my head is "Therapeutic Massage Services"

If you are looking for something professional-sounding, it's hard to go wrong with "Lastname Therapeutic Massage", "Name of Street Massage Center", or "Jenna Lastname, RMT". I personally would save the cutesy puns for advertising purposes. I don't think using your name would preclude you from hiring another therapist, unless you intend to make that person a partner with an equal share in the business.

I'm currently leaning towards combining the geographical info with "massage therapy" or "therapeutic massage".

I'm in talks to sign a lease on a unit that is near a valley - so Im thinking ___name of town___ Valley Massage Therapy.

This place has a really cool location and fronts onto the main street - but it needs work. New floors, paint, some drywall work, new bathroom fixtures etc.

I really like it though ... so we will see!
