I really need some new clothes. My weight has been up and down over the past few years so I have a little bit of everything in every size. I'm at the point now where I'm down to yoga pants and tees.
My favorite store is Forever 21 because everything is cute and cheap but the problem with that is the most of the clothes fall apart after a few washings.
I have enough jeans and pants to last a lifetime so I'm really only looking for tops.
Where does everyone shop for clothes that will last? I'm willing to spend a little more if the tops will actually last longer than 6 months. I need a variety like casual tops, dressy tops, and fun tops.
I don't really have a specific style. 12 Replies to I need suggestions on where to buy clothes |

It's on the cheaper side, but all the clothes I get from Charlotte Russe last forever. I've never had a problem there, but I do know some people have issues with it.
Banana Republic is another good store, it's more expensive but the clothes are wonderful and well worth the money. |

I love Lucky! Again it's more expensive but the quality is excellent.
American Eagle can be cute but I hate that their logo is on everything. I'm not paying them to advertise their product. |

I love Express. I have never had a problem with the quality of their clothes, and although they can be a tad pricey, they almost always have stuff on clearance or on sale. |

Macy's junior section.
They are clearing out their winter inventory, and I found a bunch of stuff there , that was cheaper then forever 21! |

Thanks everyone for the suggestions.
Krystal- Our Charlotte Russe closed near us but I did look at Banana's website and they did have some cute stuff.
J1ll- I know American Eagle's clothes are usually good quality but everything is logo'd to death in there. I actually still have a coat from there from 8th grade that fits that I wear and I'm 23. Lucky had some really cute things online but I'm not close to their stores.
Jonelle- I think I'll have to take a trip to Express.
YYD- I've never bought clothing from Macy's because it doesn't fit my body correctly but I've heard their winter sales are amazing so that is a must. |

Are you against buying used? Clothe's Mentor and Plato's Closet are easy ways to buy gently used clothes for a lot less. They tend to be higher quality than normal thrift stores because they are pretty picky about what they take. I love to shop at both of these places. |

My favorite stores are Express, Banana Republic, White House Black Market and Macys. All of them have very cute tops that are good quality. |

I shop at American Eagle Online: They DO have things without a very visible logo plastered on it- but it's kind of like an Easter egg hunt finding them. I have some really cute long, thin plaid tops that I got there, and some flowery summer dresses, cute blouses and a few I don't think skirts. They don't have a logo.
My favorite shop is anthropologie, but be ready so shell out some $$. They have some really unique designs.
I love H&M and always find something I love there.
Charlotte Russe does have a website where you can shop also if you are confident about how things fit you and what your size is. |

I don't know where you are, but the TJX stores are awesome--TJMaxx and Marshal's, also SteinMart if you have any of these near you.
The clothes are very inexpensive but good quality brands. I know with the TJX stores they get stuff from stores that overbought things. Example: This morning I wore a dress coat that I paid $30 for but was originally $120. They'll even have the same things the department store has at the same time.
Good luck! |
