I don't know, if you could amplify a waterphone (which anyone with an amp and a mic cable could do) you could create this effect. Why you'd do that is a whole other question.

...But one of my local homeless guys likes to sing 'Fame' at the top of his lungs at 2am and we also have a screaming runner, which is exactly what it sounds like, a woman who goes for runs while screaming the entire time. :/ So, people do strange stuff.

Well, this was a good "last one before bed" for me to open. Especially because I suffer from tinnitus at night. Wish me luck getting to sleep...

Update: I got about a metre from my bedroom and heard a noise, which I know now to have been coming from the refrigerator, turned around and bolted out the front door and over to my friend's house.

I've often heard strange noises in the night too.... but then realised it's just snoring!
