I get to die of grief in my upcoming show! I'm looking for inspiration- I've been looking at youtube vids of La Bayadere but would love some other suggestions!

AWESOME! Congrats! I was so excited the first time I got an onstage death scene. (It wasn't ballet, though; it was for my high school drama class. x-P ) Anyway, what about the Swan Lake finale? No finer death, in my opinion... and no, I'm not a bandwagon jumper because of Black Swan.

^Agreed. Such a beautiful, yet dramatic, moment in Swan Lake.

I love the mad scene from Giselle and the scene from Sleeping Beauty is very dramatic (though technically she's not dead, but still, I say it counts).

There is also Romeo and Juliet!

There's also the death scene in the Louisiana swamp from Manon.

As I was driving home from work this evening, I thought of another ballet with a death scene: La Sylphide.
