I'm dealing right now with what I thought was stress fractures in both feet, and found out through and MRI is actually bursitis. To my understanding, it means there's a lot of fluid in the area where my metatarsals come together. My lisfranc joint was also mentioned as being a problem area, but when I googled that joint all I found were stories about crushing-type injuries to it.

Anyway, I'm feeling really discouraged. At first I was given a steroid pack and told to come back in two weeks (no dancing, obviously). At the time of that appointment, I was still having pain. He was really surprised, thinking that the steroids definitely would have helped. So he put me in a boot and said to stay in it for 2-3 weeks and then switch it to the other foot if I was still having pain there. Well, my three weeks are just about up now and I'm still feeling a dull throbbing ache. In both feet, booted and non-booted. I'm really discouraged because the doctor thought I'd be better after 2 weeks, and it's been 5 now and I feel very little improvement. It feels like it's never going to go away. I've been doing all the right things!

Can anyone share any experience with this type of injury?
