My almost 19 month old is almost big enough to fit into my first school dress... i don't have any of my old solos for her.

This is my one and only Solo. I love it, and I'll never sell it. Ciara's 2 and a half, and it's obviously enormous on her, but it sure was fun to dress her up in it for a minute! She says "Mommy, I a pwincess!"

Way too cute! I have my 17 year old daughters first dress and she wants to keep her current dress, such memories. Maybe one day i will have an Irish Princess granddaughter. Enjoy your precious princess.

awww adorable! Ive actually had a dream where I was at the oireachtas with my daughter and she was in a dress that was designed like my first solo dress, just modernized! It was incredible! Especially since i'm about to turn 21 and don't have a daughter yet lol

Your 'pwincess' is absolutely adorable! I think there are a lot of moms out there who saved their early solo dresses. I'm a real estate agent with a daughter who's been an Irish dancer for 14 years. Several times over the years I've opened a closet while showing a house and spotted a few older solo dresses hanging there. Clients unfamiliar with ID are usually interested to hear that these dresses were often made and lovingly embroidered by mothers, grandmothers and aunts. Who could part with such a treasure? I'm glad you saved yours. It's clearly making your little girl very happy. Maybe she'll follow in your Irish dance footsteps!

It's a beautiful solo! I'll be getting mine soon. However our son probably won't be wearing a dress! Actually, we hope he'll dance in a kilt. But if he really want a vest and pants maybe we can design one similar to the dress.
