So, I'm really super excited about this and just had to share with someone I've wanted to be an astronaut all of my life, space has been my obsession and astronauts are pretty much my version of celebrities. I seriously idolized them as a kid.

I work at a research reactor. The campus I'm on was having an astronaut (who I adore) come and give a lecture, and I was super excited to get off from work and go to the meet and greet and then the lecture. Instead, my day was made best ever when I was called into work to give a tour to the visiting astronaut! It was amazing and wonderful, and the best part is...

He told me he thought I had an amazingly cool job!!! I could tell from our conversation that he really meant it as well. It just about made my life, and so I just had to share I feel like the kid with the biggest nerd cred in the world at the moment.
