My Mum had a telephone call this morning to say her sister had died.
Auntie Theresa was the best, a little on the wacky side but full of love and kindness for everyone and anyone.
It was sudden. She had a few health problems and was diagnosed as epileptic in September but apart from that was fit and healthy.
On Thursday my Uncle returned from work to find an ambulance, Auntie Theresa had been found by a neighbour wandering and incoherent. She was taken to Exeter Hospital where they diagnosed a large bleed on the brain, she was then transferred to Plymouth but they were unable to do anything for her.
She was an organ donor so that was put into place and she died last night with her daughters and husband around her.
It has been a huge shock, so sudden and unexpected.
I feel so numb and I keep hoping to wake up and this be a dream. 8 Replies to Support and prayers requested. |

Thank you. it just doesn't seem real at the moment and so unfair. She was 64 no age at all.
Martin drove me up to Mum and Dads. Mum is barely coping at the moment . They were soul mates and I don't think its sunk in. I'm most worried about my sister. She's 38weeks pregnant and although she says she is ok she really doesn't look it. Mum went upto her house to tell her. I got the news via phone in the middle of Marks and Spencer. Poor Saturday shoppers probably thought I'd lost the plot when I dropped my shopping and started screaming.
I just can't believe I will never see my Godmother again or hear her voice. It's so cruel.
I see death and dying at work all the time and yes it affects me but you forget how painful and devastating it is when its your family and your loved one. |

I'm really sorry you lost your Aunt. She wasn't much older than my husband.
Auntie Theresa was the best, a little on the wacky side but full of love and kindness for everyone and anyone.
These are really beautiful words you used to communicate your aunt's essence. Most of us would be honored to be remembered this way. Her passing must be a terrible loss for you. I'm so, so, sorry.
Hugs..xoxo

I'm so sorry for your loss. I understand your pain, as I felt the same way when my mom died. Know that your aunt will always be here with you in spirit, no matter how many years may pass. You'll always see or hear little things that will remind you of your aunt. That could be your aunt's way of trying to contact you to say, "I'm alright now. Don't worry about me. I know you'll be fine.". |

we are doing a bit better today. mum has spoken to my cousins and it was very peaceful. she was unconscious by the time she got to Plymouth and was then put on life support ready for organ donation. three people are waking up today with either a new kidney or liver. her heart tissue has gone to mend a number of babies with holes in the heart.
seems that she had a seizure - she had the sort where she just went vacant. went wandering fell and bumped her head which resulted in a large haematoma . its doubtful she knew anything.
thank you for all your support xxx |

Lot's of love and hugs from over here *hugs* So incredibly sorry about your loss.
At least it is reassuring to know that your aunt has lived on in such a meaningful way by becoming an organ donor, saving the lives of others. Plenty kudos to her and your family! |
