Tap Another Tap Shoe Question - So Danca TA 815 en>fr fr>en By tappingitout Comments: 154, member since Fri Oct 17, 2008On Sun Jan 29, 2012 06:15 PM
So, it's time again for me to get a new pair of tap shoe. I busted the heel completely off my old pair of K360s. And one pair of my Miller and Ben JTMs is starting to have the sole peel away from the shoe.
I want to try something different, and was wondering if anyone has any experience with the So Danca TA 815 or it's the 715 for men (aka the heart shoe). These are the ones with the red heart on the heel. They seem to be a good shoe from the description, but I was wondering if anyone could tell me how they compare to the k360s or the Miller and Bens. 2 Replies to Another Tap Shoe Question - So Danca TA 815 |

I’m not surprised that you’re having problems with your K360s, but I am surprised you’re having problems with your JTMs. I have 6 pair of JTMs and they have never given me a problem. If I were you, I would call Miller and Ben and talk to them about the problem you are having with the sole.
I have used So Danca’s professional tap shoes with and without the heart, and I have always been impressed by the quality of their shoes. I prefer the black shoes without the heart. So Danca’s tap shoes have softer leather than JTMs, but JTMs give my feet better support when doing flash steps.
I also like the custom colors that I can get from Miller and Ben. The link below shows what black and white JTMs look like when the normal color pattern is reversed.

Tappercise, the one pair of JTMs I've had for about 4 years now, and I'm a pretty hard tapper so I think it's probably normal wear. I do have another pair of Miller and Ben JTMs that are in a custom color (purple and purple croc) and I love them. I guess I just want to try something new - I like to hear the different tonalities and play with the different feel of various shoes - I just didn't know how the So Danca shoe compared and the price seems really reasonable for a professional shoe. |
