Costume Help-Competition in 3 weeks!!!! en>fr fr>en

I am doing a jazz piece where some of the girls in the dance are passengers on an airplane. So I want them to dress as if they are really traveling on an airplane and because anything can fit I'm having trouble putting together a costume. I wanted to buy "regular clothes" and add some rhinestones for some glitz. I'm just not sure if it will look bad with all the dancers in something completely different (style and color wise). Should I stick with all leggings and different style shirts or try to stick w/ a color scheme? Any opinions??

THANKS SO MUCH!

I think either of your ideas would work. Either a color scheme, but all different articles of clothing. Or black jazz pants and different colored tops. If it were me, I'd put them in black jazz pants and different Hawaiian shirts (www.cscpromo.com . . .). Those definitely make you look like a tourist. :)

This is what I pictured when I read the OP.

Passengers on a plane come from all walks of life, so I would like to see no one look the same. As a competition judge, that would come across better to me than all the same pants and similar shirts.

You have business people, young people, old people, parents, single, casual, etc.

Thanks so much for all your help! I think I was trying to think "dance costume" rather than just the concept. I will let you know how it turns out!

I don't know why, but when I think of planes and clothes I think of the color blue. Light blues with navy's and whites (and a splash of red maybe?). So I say go with regular clothes (but each person with a "character") and mix and match 2 to 3 colors just to show them as a group but individual.

For glitz, go silver instead of white. Silver tie, Silver belts on a ladies skirt, Silver cardigan on a mom, etc..but I like it. Use the main colors and have one accent piece on each person. Headband, tie, belt and the like. (Socks on the nerd with the flood pants lol).
