What kind of flooring do you have in your waiting area, office, and any other area of the dance studio? 7 Replies to Waiting Area |

Mine was an old building with the original wood floors. I put in two area rugs to keep the ones in tap shoes from making noise while waiting. |

Mines painted concrete. It was already done when we moved in. Its ok but can be very slippery especially in tap shoes and after I've waxed. I have a rug in front of the cubbies where the students change shoes to help with sound and slipping. |

That faux wood vinyl flooring in the waiting areas & bathroom. Carpet in the office. Landlord put it all in and the vinyl is easy to keep clean. Obviously our dance floor is a raised sprung floor and not vinyl over concrete. |

VCT (vinyl composite tile). It works well - cheap, no grout, super easy to keep clean. |

Mine is super-short-pile carpet in a brown/black/gray mottled pattern that shows NO DIRT--yay! The carpet was already there when we moved in 7 yrs ago, & it's just now starting to look worn. It's held up great. Hoping to move before I have to replace it! |

We carpeted the hallway and lobby with a inside/outside grey carpet from homedepot...and did it ourselves. It was a pain but we literally saved thousands by doing it ourselves.
We have tile in the bathrooms, and like a pergo in the changing room. |

I have commercial grade tiles.
Used to have carpet and after people tracking in mud, dirt, water from rain and all...it started to smell...and BAD!
After that, I would never put carpet...any kind of carpet where you have high traffic in and out. |
