Dance school is having an upcoming show, and plans a raffle of donated items as a fund raiser during intermission. I have matted and framed one of my original drawings. (I use it as a graphic on items I sell) Do you think there would be much interest in this piece? I guess what I am asking is would you take a chance on it if you were there? Should I donate it? Thanks for your input. 12 Replies to Looking for your input. |

I would definitely bid on it- it's lovely. I could see living with it- my criteria for buying art.
Clearly the person below me caught the same vibe I did- raffle tickets would defintely be purchased. |

I'd say it's definitely market-ready! I'm sure you'll get some bidders on it. Well done!
Edit: Whoops, I first read it was an auction, not a raffle. My bad. I would totally put my name in the raffle if a cool item like that was a giveaway! |

Thank you both for your reply. You've made me feel a little braver about donating it now. I was having visions of it sitting there with no one taking a chance on it. LOL not sure my ego could take the rejection. |

Just know that if you don't have any takers, and if you don't they're really missing out, you have an appreciative audience here. |

I know exactly how you feel! I was so scared the first time I donated a drawing for a silent auction. I was afraid no one would bid on it, but it ended up being the highest priced item After the first time, it will get a little bit easier, but still scary I always feel like my drawings are a piece of me. |

I will offer it for their raffle, after all if it causes one person to buy a ticket, then that is just one more for $ the fund raiser, right? As Sam Carter knows, the artist temperment can sometimes be a bit fragile. |

Nope sorry I'm just donating it to the granddaughter's dance school. As I understand it, they will be having all items up for chance in the lobby of their annual show.

I would definitely buy raffle tickets if this was the prize! It's lovely and I think any dancer, including my dd, would be delighted to have it. |
