en.wikipedia.org . . .

I was just curious to see what everyone's opinion were on Groundhog Day. Especially the people who live in different countries.

Don't know and never really payed a heck of a lot of attention to it. I do know that the more local Wiarton Willy did predict an early spring, thus Willy had better not let me down... LOL. en.wikipedia.org . . . I have now been educated on Willie... wow!

There is one called Balzac Billy, does that amuse anyone else?

I don't understand it at all. Then again I've never tried to. I'm sure I've seen the film but I remember little about it other than that it annoyed me! Cast ne'er a clout til May be out, says I.

My dad used to live near puxatony when I was younger so it was a bigger deal in that area. When I was little it was so impressed that a groundhog could predict the weather now as an adult I think it's dumb.

My friend had a party and I stayed up way too late. So I feel tired. :P

It's supposed to be 65 here today, so I'm guessing whether or not he saw his shadow is irrelevant.

I think it's amusing, but I never take it seriously or anything. All I care about is that it's in the high 40s-50s (Fahrenheit, obviously haha) and has been since the middle of January. Usually we are buried by a good 2 feet of snow at least by now. Last year at this time was that huge ice storm. It's seriously like spring here, so despite what Phil saw, it is "spring" outside!

And we had a new baby born into our family yesterday on Groundhog's Day so it was a special day. :)

Meh, it's just a bit of fun. It's the precise middle of winter, so that's more relevant as far as the coming of spring is concerned. I also noticed on my calendar that yesterday was the 33rd day of 2012 with 333 more days to go. (leap year) So, I thought that was fun, too!

kk~
