For my dance show, the theme is 'Rock n Roll' So basically I'm looking for some songs to fit that feel, and maybe some coreography help as well? Please and thank you! 1 Replies to Good Rock Songs To do a performance to (4 people) |

Let's see...I am assuming it is for along the lines of jazz/modern/contemp?
Classic Rock Songs are often commonly used, due to original deep lyrics, flowing but powerful beats that tend work well with dance, and it's something that many more people (Both young and old) can relate to - there is Radiohead, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Nirvana, U2, etc and it would work well with a "Rock N' Roll" titled theme.
Then there is symphonic metal, a blend of opera/rock - Within Temptation, Nightwish, Apocalyptica etc very suitable for lyical and modern type pieces.
For other groups and types, I've heard many use songs from My Chemical Romance, Billy Talent, Nickleback, One Republic, Hedley and beyond.
I reckon it depends on what you want specifically, like something a bit more modern or classic, more upbeat or more softer, either way you can't really go wrong!
I hope that helps a tad. It's tricky to get into specifics, since that could lead to a long long list of potentials. |
