Doubt you could get it for tomorrow, but if you need to buy one there is a really good site for them that I know of. My friend is sending me the address soon, and I'll post it here once she does. Also, it might be a good idea to post over on the hornpipe boards; that might get you a few hits.

Wondered if you had had any luck finding out the name of the site? We have been to a local supplier but the hats were roo round. The Reel were selling them at the Portobello comp, but they were sold out by the time we saw them

You could try ebay. I bought a hornpipe hat just before Christmas and they are still advertising for sale (just checked). It cost me £10 plus £4 postage (we live in Scotland too). The sellers name is dorsetmilitaria although I just searched for hornpipe hat. They are also selling some for £8 but these are what they call "grade 2" - I believe they wont be in such good condition. I received mine quickly. It did have some dirty marks on the top of the hat when it arrived but I cleaned it with Jif and the marks more or less came out. There are still a few marks on it but I don't think they are too bad. You certainly can't tell when she is dancing. My daughter is young and I don't think a brand new one would stay clean for long anyway - if the bottom of her new outfit is anything to go by! Might be worth a look. Good Luck.

Hi. Thanks for that. I have seen the ones you are talking about. Just a bit nervous about ordering something that she hasn't tried on. Especially as one supplier we went to didn't have a single one that fitted. I will look at dorsetmilitaria again tonight.

Got one! Would highly recommend Dorsetmilitaria, fantastic service and the hat was perfect. A bargain at 10 pounds!!

I called this site on the phone and their smalls are 51cm and their mediums are 56cm. Hope this helps someone. I personally am looking for a 54cm hat!! If anyone has one let me know.
