I just wanted to let any teachers located in the Chicoland area know about the Power of Dance competition being held March 10th - 11th.
Our studio has been praying that it takes off here for the last few years but unfortunately it never draws in enough entries.
This year again entries are low, but Kevin is willing to still hold the event at a loss to hopefuly build a future for his competition here( He is definetly a class act!!)
I love his philosophy and my students are so excited to dance to raise money for our charity, Please if you are competing this year consider adding this comp to your studio's schedule, what better way is there to spend a weekend watching your dancer's perform for such a great cause!!!

I hope that it goes on by you and grows. It's a great competition and it brings tears to my eyes when I hear of the wonderful stories of how studios and students help others with their winnings, even helping kids from other dance schools.

Our studio attended PofD for the first time last year. Even those who started the weekend out grumbling because it lacked the glitz/glamour of other competitions finished the weekend with tears of compassion for all those who were helped & asking to return the following year.

In an industry as "all about me" as the competition world, it was nice to see the kids using their talents to help someone else.
