About Men On Pointe Men On Pointe is an all-male pointe ballet company pioneering the development and promotion of male pointe technique. What separates us from “male comedy ballet’ is our dedication in presenting original works that incorporate classical structure and classical vocabulary, but not necessarily classical narratives or classical music. Our goal is to create new classics that in some way reflect the attitudes of our time and entertain a growing audience. Through our educational programs we fill a unique niche, offering male dancers education and a platform to perform not only classical inspired ballet as ballerinas, but also contemporary ballets as men en pointe.
Men On Pointe is seeking male ballet dancers with advanced technique who can dance en pointe. There is no height requirements, though we do encourage shorter dancers to apply. Men On Pointe will tour Malaysia during the summer of 2012, with members of Guangdong Acrobats, Great Chinese Circus. The featured ballet will be a one act Swan Lake with other smaller ballets. Rehearsals begin in NYC May 21 for three weeks. The first show is in Kuala Lumpur, June 15. We need dancers to be available until July16 and have a valid U.S. passport. Pay is 600.00 a week and 25.00 a day for per diem. Hotel accommodations while on tour with daily breakfast will be provided.
