Any old timers out there who studied/danced in the era of Bobby Farah, Leila Haddad, Sudannah Odalisque, Eddie Kochak, etc? Who read "Arabesque" magazine? If you don't already know about it, there's a great Facebook page: 1970's Bellydance! Might want to check it out . . .

Hi, Dee! Guess we're the only old-school BDs here! I am amazed to see how it's all about the Irish dance now, and so little middle eastern. Sigh. Maybe it's just this site. I know in the NYC area where I am, there are lots of active Belly Dance groups, but of course, that's NYC! And even those feel different to me - they are all into this 'tribal' crossover mash up dance - makes me feel old! Anyway, am going over to check out your work now - I'm sure it's great!

WOW - your work is GREAT!!!!! Very sophisticated, and just lovely!

Are you using meetup.com to market your stuff? You can virtually 'join' belly dance groups around the country, just to see what opportunities there are for creating visibility for your product - message boards, etc. For example, here are the groups near me:
belly-dance.meetup.com . . .

Anyway, good luck with it - you do great stuff!
