Isn't my young man adorable? He lost his other front tooth the other day. Growing too fast, in my opinion.

Aww, bless him. He is super cute with missing teeth. How much did the Tooth Fairy bring?

$1??

I got 20 cents in 1989, enough to get a bag of mixed lollies from Leo's Milk Bar. The tooth fairy has certainly not caught up with inflation, LOL!

Great Photo of him. I do remember my similar event, ca. 1948-9. There was a Spike Jones recording out then called "All I Want For Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth" and I was in Elijah's situation at that Christmas season. I think the Tooth Fairy brought $0.05 (A US "Nickel") back then. Inflation, inflation! Three of my four grandsons have been through this within the past couple of years, (the fourth one is only 3 1/2.)

James got $5 for his first tooth, but that's because the first tooth he lost was pulled out by the dentist, not lost. But the "tooth fairy" has sworn he won't be so generous the next time. :D

Here is a YouTube link to the Spike Jones Original. This singer was the trumpet player in Jones" Band. It dates from 1948.

Wow! He's losing his teeth early! Hopefully that means less problems with crowding :)

It's not that early, is it? All of James' friends are six, and they've all lost teeth. In fact, I think he's the only five year old left in the class, and is also the only one who hasn't lost any teeth yet (well, naturally lost any teeth...) either.

It's not early that I know of either. I would say he is right on track.

E is the youngest of all his friends at school and has lost the most teeth. That's not to say it's early in general (in fact, he's lost his around about on schedule with when I lost mine) but he's lost them early compared to his mates. Most of them haven't lost any top teeth yet, just bottom ones and they are all at least six months older. One is 13 months older and I think she still has her top baby teeth, but I know that's really late.

Generally speaking the first teeth lost are at 6 years old, and they are the bottom central teeth.
Usually the top central teeth are lost around age 7.

That is average. There are many that are earlier, and many that are later (like I was.)
So for him to have lost all four of those teeth, and have 2 already grown in, yea! I'd say he's a little early. Not extreme, but it's cool :)
