Hop_123's Bio

I am an adult Irish dancer with the Beaton School in MD. I have been Irish dancing since 2003, but only started taking competitive classes in 2005. I do 4-5 feiseanna a year along with my dancing daughter. I love going to competitions, and love talking to the other adult dancers there!

I hope to keep dancing for a long time, though my body may have other ideas! I undertook making my own solo dress (what a learning experience that was!) and got to wear it for the first time at the Raleigh Feis 2009. I finally got all my dances into Adult PW at the ROI feis in 2009.

I dropped down to the and-overs in May 2010. I was terrified at my first feis, but between my first and second and-over feis, I placed in all my dances (novice) and placed out of my light jig!

You really should think about making dresses (especially for mature dancers) on the side. You have a wonderful eye for the colors and patterns that looked wonderful with your coloration (no glitter or lame!)Absolutely beautiful! Good luck!
