We wrote a book titled “Tappercise and Beyond” and created a website (www.tappercise.com) that has a lot of free information about tap dancing and exercise. Our free tappercise handout can be downloaded from the web site and saved or printed. The two main goals we are striving for are getting more adults involved in tap dancing and making tap dancing more popular. The scientific training techniques that we have developed can be used for teaching basic steps, such as flaps and shuffles, or advanced steps, such as vertical pullbacks or aerial shuffles. We strongly believe that good tap dancing is both tapping and dancing and you should tap dance with your entire body. Our new website (www.extremetap.net) is under development and has some video clips that show how we practice flash steps and improvisation. We also have video clips on YouTube.com under ExtremeTap.net.
