BlondeRachel's Bio

My name is Rachel and I currently live in Sterling Heights, Michigan. I have twirled baton competitively for nearly 14 years in NBTA before I retired at the age of 18. During my years of twirling, I reached the advance level in solo, strut, modeling, two baton and three baton. For 6 years, I represented the state of Michigan at AYOP in Notre Dame, Indiana at the advance level. Throughout my career, I was a student of Cindy (Trump) Pyser, Rhonda Musucaro, and Derek (Scarvi) Brooks. In addition, I have twirled in any many different organizations throughout my career which include NBTA, DMA and AAU.

I started instructing baton twirling at the young age of 17 for Rhonda Muscaro. Currently, I am the assistant director of the Twirl M's, a baton twirling group based in Walled Lake, Michigan under the direction of Rhonda Muscaro. I throughly enjoy all aspects of baton twirling, since it has been my passion since the age of 4.

In order to be the feature baton twirler in high school, I joined the colorguard. I was a member of the Sterling Heights Stevenson Colorguard for 3 years and one year in the winterguard. I became captain of the colorguard in my senior year of high school. Recently, I was offered a job as a colorguard instructor for the Roseville High School Marching Band in Roseville High School.

One of my BIGGEST regrets in my entire life was giving up baton twirling so early. I wish I had continued my twirling career throughout college, but I chose to go to a college that was close to my home and focus on my education, while teaching baton lessons. In April of 2006, I will graduate Oakland University with a BS in Finance.
