Chaconne's BioJon (Chaconne) is a violinist in a local ballet company and in four symphony orchestras in the Washington, DC/Baltimore, MD areas. He grew up in Wisconsin. With the ballet orchestra he has performed over 30 performances of the "Nutcracker." He is married to his high school sweetheart and has two adult children and four young grandsons. He is retired from his primary profession as a civilian intelligence officer for the US Government. He lives in Maryland in a Northern suburb of Washington, DC.His only actual dancing experience was in high school where he was coached with other guys, by the girls who actually knew how to dance and were trained in dancing, so they could appear in musical comedies. He also did American Indian dancing with the Boy Scouts. He had a secondary profession as a wedding and society photographer and photographed nearly 500 social events. He also taught photography, photographic darkroom, wedding photography and portraiture courses to adult education classes. He became interested in DDN when his daughter was about to acquire a teen-aged stepdaughter who had/has many personal issues. He came across DDN as a resource with solid, mature advice about many issues concerning teen-aged girls and used information gathered on DDN to assist his daughter and son-in-law in dealing with these issues. Through DDN, he has become interested as a spectator in other forms of dancing. He has been an amateur radio operator since the age of 13. He and his wife love to travel. He is in the process of converting his photographic skills into the digital era. In the past he mentored many high school and college aged photographers, several who became professionals. He also has mentored high school aged musicians in symphony orchestra skills. A Chaconne is an old French dance which is the basis for several important violin compositions, particularly one by J.S. Bach. It was also the name of one of his sailboats which he no longer has. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin in English and French and has a graduate degree in History from The Johns Hopkins University.
