I have been dancing for 11 yrs. The first dance I started was jazz at age 3. I continued to do jazz. Then i had my first recital with five other dancers. After that i started competing with another girl with that dance. I recived many 1st place trophies at small competions but when it was time to go to the big competitions we got top 9 out of all the other dancers at Showbiz and first in our catagory. At Starpower we received a siliver medal. The second year I started tap and clogging with jazz. I then dance along with my team at many places in our area. My sister and I competed at the small competitions and won many 1st place trophies. Once we danced at Showbiz and Starpower with our clogging duet we received 1st place in that dance. After that my dance teacher wanted us to be in a group that travels and competes and preforms around the area. I was happy to do tap, jazz, clogging, ballet, lyrical, modern, (hip-hop that comes naturaly when i dance), and swing. My sister and i danced with them for 8 years and then we stopped. We enjoyed the fun classes, competitions, recitals, entertaining people and most of all we miss the friendship that we had with all of the dancers. During my 3 years with out dancing with them i have learned african, stepping, pom, and millitary with my church and the schools that i have had classes in. So far the different types of dancing I have done in order are jazz, tap, clogging, ballet, swing, modern,lyrical, hip-hop, step, pom, military, and African. I would really like to Irish dance because my great-grandmother is Irish.I just made my schools drill team and I plan to tryout for a college dance team.
