Hi everyone! Just wanted to introduce myself a little bit. I'm a former dancer and teacher from Southeast Michigan. I began dancing at age 9, and continued up and into my 20's. I started out taking jazz as a recreational thing. It didn't take me long to realize that it was more than a hobby, it was a passion and it was in my blood. I continued to add on various styles, and took jazz, tap, ballet, lyrical, pointe and hip hop on a regular basis. For years I felt like I lived at the studio during the week, at at competition venues on the weekends. I started assisting when I was 14, and began teaching at 19. I taught tap, jazz and hip hop for both recreational and competitive students for about 6 years. As of 2008, I'm no longer teaching full time, just subbing on occassion. Even though its not an everyday activity anymore, I don't think I'll ever outgrow my love for dance. I love being a member of DDN and following along in the world of dance!
