Danztar's Bio

My name is Carly and I'm from the UK.

I have been dancing in Line Dance competitions with the UCWDC (United Country Western Dance Council) since 2000 and currently compete in Advanced and Showcase Open. I also dance in Masters In Line competitions and compete in Division 3 Intermediate. I train with Inspire Dance which is run by Emily Drinkall.
I have loved dancing in these competitions over the years as it has given me the opportunity to travel to a few different countries and meet some great people. I have danced in England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, France, Holland, Spain, Sweden, Denmark and America!

I started ADFP Disco Competitions at the age of 18 and trained with Dancenergy which is run by Vicky Barkess and Sue Wilkinson. I have just recently decided to stop competing to persue other interests and go to University but I danced in Adult Champ for Solo and Pairs and I was part of our Adult Champ Team Attitude for three years. I am so proud to have worked my way up to Champ level, particularly after starting so late.

At the moment I am living with my boyfriend in a shared house which is pretty fun and am at University studying English Literature with Creative Writing. After my degree I am thinking of doing a PGCE to enable me to become a Teacher. At the moment I think that I would like to teach in a Primary School, at Junior Level.
