Whazzup????? I'm Madysen...and yeah. I'm a seriously dance-obsessed. Two years ago I got back into dance after two years off. Before that break, I took one class a week, basically for fun. I took the break because I had no friends at dance. The summer before my return, I was in my first show, Cinderella. We had a choreographer there, he was a swing in the touring company of Cats!, and that got me wanting to act and dance. :P Oh, mind you, this was at the year mark of my obsession with Broadway, which is still prevalent to this day. Then when I started back, I took jazz with the same people I have always taken dance with, (I'd done jazz for 4 years) and was invited to join STARS, which is a huge group of girls, who learn about five dances in one year, and perform in a parade and the recital. Then the following summer I took hip hop and ballet for the first time. Ballet was basically a private lesson, for the price of a group lesson, and hip hop was just fun. I also took a free jazz class, because it was between ballet and hip hop, and the same teacher taught all three, and asked me to join, since the girls were younger and it would be nice for another older person(other than the teacher) dance the stuff(I was basically an assistant) Then last year I took two prepointe classes, hip hop, jazz and STARS. This last summer I got en pointe, and took beginning pointe, jazz, and hip hop. I love pointe so much... Finally this year I'm taking modern, hip hop, pointe, ballet, and lyrical. My ballet teacher teaches all but hip hop and modern, and for modern the teacher is Daniel Kubert, he does modern professionally, he's here for a few years to teach at the university, but the director is friends with him. :P

Other than dance, I do chorus at school two mornings a week(actually I'm leaving for chorus in a few minutes), piano, violin. in the school orcestra, I'm second violin, 3rd chair(out of 22) I also go to confirmation class at chuch. Whenever I can, I do theatre, as that is what I want to do with my life. Right now I'm trying my hand at tech. It's my first time doing so, and It's for frankenstein. I'm doing it with a friend though, and it's uber fun.

Onto theatre now. I've done the Startles in outer space. We had a cast of six people, so we all had big parts. But the startles is a group of three girls who made a rock band, and I was in the band(!!!)(startles is a mix of starburst and skittles) I have also been in A Christmas Carol, as Fred's Wife, and they named me Edith. It was a big part, and this one had a cast of 39. Christmas Carol sold out all of our shows, which rarely happens here. Another show I've done was Harry Squiggles, agent 059. Where I was a "sexy spy chick" That was a really great part, so much fun! My next show is twelfth night, a shakespeare comedy, which you all should go read. I was Fabian and curio/officer 1. I loved that show... And like I said, I'm doing tech right now :P

For the past few years I've wanted to go to NYUis in New York City. I want a musical theatre major(with lots of dance classes) and a minor in teaching secondary education english. Then I want to live in New York City. I don't care if I barely make rent, but I just want to be there. I don't know about family, I'll just see what happens, I wouldn't be against a child though! Well, and of course in NYC I'm going to try my darndest to be on Broadway, and make a living through that. But that's what my fallback on teaching is for.

It's scary, I plan too much, after all I'm only in eighth grade, but I just know what I want in life.

I've been obsessed with Broadway for about 3 years on last July third. My best friend was in California for six months but she got back july 3rd. I went to see her with two other friends over spring break, 'twas fun! But now she's back and school has started...great.
really fast, my top three role models are...
Kristin Chenoweth,
Harmony Rea(my old jazz teacher),
The B-52's (especially Kate...)

Thank you for reading my overly large profile, and not killing yourself!
peace
Madysen

Hi Madysen! I'm in the same dorm as you are in VIS. Remember that Fouette Magazine idea? I hope we can make that soon together and with some others who you think would like it, too. :) We've got to get others active again! :)
