I am a fourth generation dance teacher. My Great Grandmother toured with a vaudville act called the Japineese review. She opened a studio when she setteled down with my Great Grandpa. It was opened in Villa Park Illinois. My grandmother studied with her mother and other famous teachers around the country. She became a ballet dancer for the Chicago civic opera house in the late 1940's. My mother was also a profesional ballerina. She danced for her towns ballet company. My great grandmother passed our stuido down to my grandma who passed it down to my mother but eventually got sold in the 1980's. I have danced since I was 2 years old and I am a teacher now also. I love being able to say dancing and teaching runs in my family. I am proud of my family history and hope one day I will pass the torch to my child. But for now I am a contractor at a Omaha community center. But one day hope to have my own small studio to call mine.
