NichelleDances's Bio

Nichelle is a dancer, teacher, and writer. She began taking lessons at an early age and holds a bachelor’s degree in dance from Slippery Rock University. Her own wonderful teachers inspired her to pass on the knowledge and legacy of the art of movement and she began her teaching career over 16 years ago. She has taught ballet, jazz, modern, tap, creative dance, and theatrical dance in private studios, community programs, and at a major university. Her students, ranging in age from 3-63, have included beginners as well as advanced movers. Nichelle writes about local dance events and performances and for her blog, Dance Advantage. She continues to perform and has been a member of contemporary dance companies in Pennsylvania and in Houston, Texas where she lives with her husband and young son.
