Plancstai's Bio

The World Irish Dance Association is one of the newer organisations involved in promoting Irish Dancing around the world. Founded in 2004 in Germany in an effort to help local teachers of Irish Dance belong to a 'structure' where they could get assistance to improve their knowledge and experience it has since grown to have representation in many different countries. Fun is the mantra of the organisation. If you win at a feis we are thrilled for you if you dont we sympathise. A medal or trophy made of plastic or metal or marble or glass is not going to make a person rich, clever or famous (except maybe in our confined and small world)but going on the journey to that trophy or medal is what is important. When your dancing days are over we want you to look back with fondness on the many memories you will have created while you danced. We are not the biggest and not the best but we are having fun and we invite anyone else who wants to have a bit of fun and craic to join us in our quest to spread the joy of Irish dancing to the world and the next generation.
