Prairiedancer's Bio

My name is Erin and I live in Yelm, Washington. I have owned a studio here for the past four years, and despite all the trials and tribulations I love my job and consider myself extremely fortunate.
I danced all through childhood in RI and then through high school in the PNW. I attended Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle and got my degree from The Evergreen State College. While I love modern and jazz, I am a ballet dancer at heart. I started teaching at 22 and have been at it for about 14 years now.

I am married to a terrific man who enjoys attending dance performances with me- I think Mark Morris is his favorite. I have two beautiful daughters, 9 and 6. One or both of them may end up dancing but it is hard to tell yet. My youngest tells me she wants to be either a ballerina, a rock star, or drive the ice cream truck. All worthy goals. My oldest is scary bright, loves sports, and wants to take her mom's ballet classes forever.
