Reesienpointe's Bio
So! Time for a MUCH NEEDED profile update!!!!
This year I'm working hard in four classes (soon to be five!) Ballet/pointe, which has still remained my favorite is proving especially challenging this year but I gotta love it! I moved up in everything including ballet/pointe and am excited to be performing in the upcoming Christmas show as an intermediate/advanced dancer. Now just four dancers including myself make up the more advanced portion of the class, meaning we're getting bigger parts in our dance! I'm a little nervous and way excited. And I gotta give props to my two friends who are beginners in pointe and will be dancing with us as our corps for the first time this year. Great job guys!
So hip hop has offically moved to the no. 2 spot on my list. I really love the dance style and have more and more fun as I progress. I found out it's a little hard to go from ballet to hip hop but I'm learning to not stay turned out all the time
Last June we did the song Just Dance for our recital and I offically fell in love with hip hop. It's so fun!
And of course lyrical rocks. I was a little burned out on it by our recital in June mainly because everyone was so sick of the song we used and our costumes looked like maternity dresses, haha! But now that I'm in the last level before advanced I'm re-discovering how beautiful it is and how good it feels to do.
I have also signed up for intermediate contemporary for a month to see if I like it/can do it. After my first class I have decided it is incredibly awesome and will probably be adding another class to my schedule.
So I pretty much think dance rocks! I'm getting ready for college (which I already put off too long, lol.) I haven't decided 100% what I want to do but I definitely will be minoring in dance at the very least.
And a few other things about me, I'm into fashion. A LOT of fashion. I especially like vintage fashion, my favorite era probably being the 1920's. And designing, I design, mainly for a hobby, anything from clothes to whole rooms. I like to sew and frequently sew my own costumes. I love to recreate costumes from movies and am currently working on a piece from Titanic. It's incredibly frustrating and rewarding all at once. I love animals and am a vegetarian (attempting to convert to vegan) of five years and am also an avid animal rights activist. I have a german shepherd, Aeva, a guinea pig, Tonks, and three horses and I love them all very much, they are my babies ¢¾
I'm really into art, I have a professional artist in my family and hopefully one day I'll be able to do oils as well as he can. I like to write stories and currently have about six I need to finish! I love music, I mean love it. I don't go a single day without it. I like to read, Harry Potter remains my fave but I also enjoy classics. I do like movies, again mainly classics, new classics and indy films. I also like to act and have been involved in many student films, something I want to continue to do. I also like astronomy, I'm hooked on the show The Universe and watch it and NatGeo more than anything else on T.V. And of course, being a girl I love to shop. Some of my fave stores are Sephora, Victoria's Secret, GAP, Kohl's, Bergner's, and Aeropostale.
A few random things about me:
I'm 1/4 Irish.
I am a loyal fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and they have won every game I have gone to see!
My favorite coffee drink is a Skinny Cinnamon Dolce Latte from Starbucks. My favorite tea would be a tie between their Chai Latte and Tazo Brambleberry. Yum!
I'm afraid of flying. It's strange because I the fear developed after I flew to Australia and back when I was 15. Go figure.
Speaking of Australia, I have been there, New Zealand, Mexico, Panama, Grand Cayman, Jamacia, and Costa Rica. When I was in Grand Cayman with my family we visited a place where they made rum cake. They had samples of the forty some varieties they made there. I tried one of each and got sick! Lol!
I have also been diving on the Great Barrier Reef.
I've visited 32 states. The ones I've yet to visit are in New England and the Pacific Northwest.
My favorite flower is the rose and I have climbing ones growing up my window.
Sometimes I watch the Weather Channel when there's nothing else to do! (Hey, they play good music on there!)
My favorite food is Sushi (the kind that's fish-free.)
Speaking of food, I probably eat more foreign cuisine than local. I have Thai relations by marriage and have found a new love for the exotic foods the Thai culture has to offer. I also love to experiement with foreign recipes on my own. My favorite grocery stores are international markets.
I once read Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix in 26 hours. Personal record for me.
My favorite holdiay is probably Christmas and Thanksgiving. I love to cook for the whole family and love when they put Tofurkey back on the shelves over the holidays.
That's all for now! More to come later!

I agree! A vegan/vegetarian board would make threads like that so much easier! I'm glad that at least theres the minority of us sane veggies here on DDN, though

Hey I saw your post about riding, well about dressage, but I wanted to ask you about riding. So i've rode before, and I LOVE horses, im 16 now and I ride horses at my property during summer, but im wanting to take lessons and compete. any advice?
haha thanks! I'm pretty sure (not 100%) that I got it from iconator.com. I typed in the search box for "Harry Potter", changed the drop down menu to "Avatars" and it came up with LOADS of awesome avatars!
