Taphead25's Bio

Born 1949; male, married, "taphead" since age 4, used to tap a lot in the 80's...bad knees now. 'former maker of custom dance taps; boots, and shoes. 'hope to retire back into the dance shoe trade within a year. Big future projects include bell bronze taps for pointe and regular shoes. 'enjoy everything "tap", especially old movies and videos from my youth (1953-'64); worship the Rockettes and the former June Taylor Dancers, love Texas college kickline teams; drums, and Swing. Home is near Houston, TX, "too much to mow; to little to farm".

'think DDN is absolutely the best website of its type on the net!

Sarry to hear you passed away in January, the world of historical tap dance in the modern day will never be the same as one of the last makers of jingle taps and custom tap fitters. So long Barry and my condolances to his family.
